Internal slides obtained by The Verge, showcase a text-focused derivative of Instagram that incorporates elements from Twitter. The app includes a blue tick verification system and familiar interaction buttons like Twitter. Similar to Twitter, the app employs a threaded approach to distinguish replies to original posts.Rumoured to launch in June, the app is potentially named Threads. Users will log in using their Instagram accounts, seamlessly transferring their details. The app is expected to support text updates of up to 500 characters, photos, and videos up to five minutes in length, and carry over blocked preferences from Instagram.
