Xbox gaming console’s prices are expected to rise in India beginning June 30.
The Xbox Series S, which was previously priced at Rs. 34,990, will reportedly be priced at Rs 36,990 very soon. Now that’s an almost 6 percent increase in price.
To recap, the Xbox Series S gets eight Zen 2 cores with the same configuration as the AMD Ryzen 4000 PC. That is, there are two CCX units, each with four Zen 2 cores and 4 MB of L3 cache.
The Xbox Series S’ GPU is based on a customised version of Microsoft's RDNA 2 architecture. Despite being a lower capacity version, it does not sacrifice graphic functionality. As a result, it still gets features such as Ray Tracing, Variable Rate Shading, and Sampler Feedback Streaming.
Moving on, the price of the Xbox Wireless Controller will also rise by Rs 200 as it will now retail for Rs 5,590.
Finally, the Xbox Wireless Headset will now be sold for Rs 9,490, up from Rs. 8,990. There has been no word on a price increase for the more premium Xbox Series X, which currently available for Rs. 49,990 when in stock.
