Xiaomi is all set to debut their next line of flagships, the Xiaomi 12 series, on December 28. The company has now announced that it will launch MIUI 13, the next generation of its Android-based OS.
MIUI 13 claims to bring many performance improvements over MIUI 12.5. Xiaomi says that the new OS will deliver between 20-26% improved ‘fluency’ for system apps, and 15-52% fluency for third party apps, when compared to MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Version.
MIUI 13 will also bring new privacy and security enhancements, including a ‘Privacy Security Goalkeeper’ feature, with a system-level anti-fraud feature.
Along with this, Xiaomi will bring features like Focus Computing 2.0, liquid storage, and atomic memory, which all aim to make the user experience faster and smoother.

The Xiaomi 12 series will launch with MIUI 13 out of the box. The company has not yet officially confirmed which other phones will get the update. A report by blog Xiaomiui indicates that the Mi Mix 4, Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11 Pro, Mi 11, Xiaomi 11 Lite, Mi 10S, Redmi K40 Pro+, Redmi K40 Pro, Redmi K40, and Redmi Note 10 Pro would be receiving the update.
Xiaomi India is yet to specify which of the company’s smartphones in India will get the MIUI 13 update.
