iPhone enthusiasts in India can mark their calendars as the Cupertino-based tech giant gears up for its 'Wonderlust' event, scheduled for Tuesday, September 12, 2023.
During this highly anticipated event, Apple will likely introduce its latest iPhone 15 lineup, including the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max/Ultra.
Reports suggest that pre-orders for the new iPhones are expected to open in India on September 15, with the iPhone 15 series hitting the Indian market on September 22.
However, there are lingering rumours of a potential delay for the iPhone 15 Pro Max, possibly due to issues with procuring periscope camera components.
In terms of pricing, expectations are that the iPhone 15 Pro may come with a $100 increase compared to its predecessor, starting at $1,099 in the US (approximately ₹81,200).
The iPhone 15 Pro Max could see a steeper $200 price hike, potentially starting at $1,299 (around ₹95,800).
As for the base models, they are likely to fall within a similar price range as previous years. The iPhone 15 is expected to have a starting price of $799 (approximately ₹59,000), while the iPhone 15 Plus may start at $899 (around ₹66,400).
The Wonderlust event will kick off at 10:30 p.m. IST onwards. The event will be live-streamed on Apple's website, Apple TV app, and YouTube.
Leaked information hints at vibrant colour options for Indian consumers. The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are likely to be available in new colours such as Midnight (Black), Starlight (White), Light Green, Yellow, Blue, and Orange (Coral Pink).
Meanwhile, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max models will offer choices including Dark Blue, Silver-Gray, Space Black, and Titanium.
