Apple is gearing up to unveil the iPhone 15 series in September, and the excitement is not just focused on the phone itself but also the accompanying accessories.
In particular, Apple's move to bring a USB-C connector to the iPhone this year is the subject of a lot of interest.
Now, a new leak suggests what could be the bundled or optional USB-C cable for the upcoming iPhone 15 series. The new USB-C to C braided data cable might be colour-matched with the iPhone 15 model.
What sets this cable apart is its reported incredible data transfer speed of up to 40Gbps, making it the fastest USB-C specification available.
This ensures swift and seamless transfer of files and data. Additionally, the cable supports Power Delivery (PD) charging power of up to 100W, enabling faster charging for iPhones.
However, it remains uncertain whether this cable will be offered as an optional accessory or bundled with the iPhone 15.
To enhance the overall user experience, Apple is also set to introduce a new MagSafe charger. Featuring a magnetic connection design, this charger will securely hold the MacBook in place, reducing the risk of accidental disconnection.
The iPhone 15 is rumoured to feature a new image sensor. The new image sensor's saturation signal will be doubled in order to capture more light, making it useful for portrait and night photography modes.
The 48MP camera introduced with the iPhone 14 Pro may also be implemented in the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus.
Also, a rumoured proximity sensor will be integrated into the Dynamic Island area, which is the display cutout that contains the front camera and Face ID sensor.
This modification is anticipated to make the iPhone 15 thinner.
