In response to enthusiastic demand from consumers, Google has quietly introduced a new storage option for its flagship smartphone, the Google Pixel 8 Pro.
The new variant with 256GB storage capacity is now listed on Flipkart, offering users a higher storage option for their devices. This news comes just a month after the initial launch of the Pixel 8 Pro in India.
The 256GB variant of the Google Pixel 8 Pro is priced at ₹1,13,999, making it the most expensive phone in the Pixel series available in India.
However, customers will be limited to the Obsidian color option for this particular variant. The original 128GB model was launched at ₹1,06,999 and was available in both Obsidian and Bay colour options.
To sweeten the deal, Google is currently offering a discount of ₹9,000 on both the 128GB and 256GB variants of the Pixel 8 Pro for customers making the purchase with an SBI credit card.
Additionally, there is a ₹4,000 exchange bonus available. These offers make the high-end smartphone a more attractive proposition for potential buyers.
While the introduction of the 256GB storage variant is great news for those looking for increased storage capacity, some early adopters may feel a sense of disappointment. During the pre-order period, there were no indications that this variant would be made available.
It is worth noting that the more affordable Google Pixel 8 had already offered this storage option, leaving some to question why the flagship Pro model did not.
The Google Pixel 8 Pro is packed with impressive features, including the powerful Google Tensor G3 processor and a generous 12GB of RAM.
The device sports a 6.7-inch display and boasts a rear camera setup with 50MP, 48MP, and 48MP lenses, while the front selfie camera features a 10.5MP lens. The smartphone is powered by a 5050mAh battery to ensure long-lasting usage.
