After a hiatus of over three years, Honor Tech India has declared its intention to re-enter the Indian smartphone market.

The announcement comes after a hint provided earlier this month and confirmation of involvement by Madhav Sheth, the former CEO of Realme.

With excitement building, the company is preparing to unveil its first device since the separation from Huawei.

In 2020, Honor withdrew its operations from India shortly after gaining independence from its parent company, Huawei. During the interim period, PSAV Global became the authorised distributor for Honor products in India.

They successfully introduced wearables, tablets, and laptops under the Honor brand. It is expected that PSAV will continue its role as the official distributor for Honor, leveraging its existing retail and distribution network.

The upcoming Honor 90 model is anticipated to be the brand's inaugural smartphone in India.

Honor 90 Launch Date and Pricing

The exact date for the smartphone's launch remains undisclosed. However, it is rumoured that the Honor 90 may be unveiled for Indian customers in September. So far, pricing details for the Indian market have not been revealed.

Honor 90 Specifications and Availability

The Indian version of the Honor 90 is expected to match the specifications of its global counterparts. Users in India will have the opportunity to choose from four colours: Peacock Blue, Diamond Silver, Midnight Black, and Emerald Green.

The Honor 90, which was first launched in China, boasts a starting price of approximately ₹28,700. It features an impressive 200-megapixel wide lens as part of its robust camera arrangement, supported by two additional sensors on the rear panel.

The smartphone sports a sleekly curved 6.7-inch AMOLED display and offers expandable storage of up to 512GB. Operating on MagicOS 7.1, a platform based on Android 13, the Honor 90 promises a smooth user experience.

Additional features include Bluetooth 5.2, NFC capabilities, a Type-C port, and a substantial 5,000mAh battery that supports rapid 66W charging.
