The Infinix Note 40 Pro has arrived in India, and it's not just another mid-ranger. This phone debuts Infinix’s brand-new charging technology that aims to disrupt the game.
So let’s see what makes this new mid-ranger stand out in a sea of similarly priced smartphones.
We received a media box from Infinix which includes not just the Note 40 Pro, but also an exhaustive list of compatible accessories.
So, in addition to the smartphone, there is a 45W adapter, a USB A to C cable, and the stars of the show: a Magcase, Magpower power bank, and Magpad magnetic wireless charger.
Do note that contents in the retail box will differ, and all the magnetic charging accessories are likely to be sold separately.
The Note 40 brings high-tech charging to the mid-range segment. At its core lies the new “Cheetah X1 chip”, which is developed by Infinix specifically to optimise the charging process.
This chip, paired with "All-Round FastCharge 2.0," can juice up the phone's big 5,000mAh battery at 45W.
But Infinix doesn't stop here. The Cheetah X1 unlocks additional features like Multi-Speed FastCharge, Bypass Charging Mode, and Reverse Charge Mode, all designed to give you more control over your charging experience.
Additionally, the Note 40 Pro boasts 20W wireless charging capability as well, something that’s almost unheard of in this price range.
To truly elevate the game, Infinix throws in Apple MagSafe-like magnetic wireless charging.
By adding an optional Magcase, you can use many compatible magnetic charging accessories. The Magpower, a wireless charger and power bank in one, offers 3,000mAh of on-the-go power, while the Magpad, a magnetic charging puck, supports a range of charging speeds from 10W to 22W.
Special emphasis has been given to this phone’s design, because it looks more expensive than it really is.
The Note 40 Pro features a curved front and back along with the plastic frame. The vintage green colour of our review device has a nice vegan leather back with a nice texture which adds to the grip.
Furthermore, the camera island and the frame on this colourway are light golden in colour, which creates a stunning contrast with the green colour and looks very premium.
To add a touch of flair, an integrated "Halo" RGB light pulses along the back, syncing to your music or notifying you of a message with a subtle light show.
The 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display on this smartphone comes with a resolution of FHD+. It comes with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a peak brightness of 1300 nits.
The display is also protected by Gorilla Glass 5.
The Infinix note 40 Pro has three cameras at the back. The primary camera is a high-res 108MP sensor and it is accompanied by two 2MP cameras.
The smartphone has a 32MP camera at the front for selfies.
The smartphone is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 7020 chipset that supports 5G. It is available with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
On the software front, you get Infinix’s XOS built on top of Android 14. The brand is promising 2 major Android updates and 3 years of security patch updates with this smartphone.
The Note 40 Pro has been launched at ₹21,999. However, you can buy it at an effective price of ₹19,999 after the launch discounts.
Additionally, those who’ve pre-ordered the smartphone will get a Magkit worth ₹4,999 for free.
The smartphone is availabe for purchase via Flipkart.

It is also designed to impress with its sleek aesthetics. We are testing this smartphone out exhaustively, so stay tuned to Editorji for our full Infinix Note 40 Pro review.
