Nothing, the technology company set up by former OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei, announced their first smartphone, called the Nothing phone (1). The company also confirmed that Nothing phone (1) will run on Android, and announced their intentions to develop an ecosystem of tech products to rival Apple.
Nothing did not announce the exact specifications of the Nothing phone (1), but did confirm that the device will be built in collaboration with Qualcomm, which may mean that it comes with a Snapdragon processor.
The company also announced Nothing OS, the Android-based operating system that the Nothing phone (1) will run. Nothing OS will focus on a pure Android experience, designed to deliver a fast, smooth and personal experience. A first preview of Nothing OS will be available via its launcher that will be available to download on select smartphone models from April.

Nothing says that more features of the phone (1) will be announced in the coming months. The phone will launch in Summer 2022.
