Nothing has introduced the Phone (2a) Special Edition, a new smartphone model that embraces a vibrant color palette. This launch marks the first time Nothing has incorporated red, yellow, and blue—the primary colours—into a single device, signifying a departure from the brand's previous monochromatic designs.

Design Philosophy and Inspiration

Crafted by the Nothing Industrial Design Team in King's Cross, London, the design emphasizes the brand's core values of transparency and simplicity. Adam Bates, Design Director at Nothing, revealed that the Phone (2a) Special Edition draws inspiration from past design icons while redefining the aesthetic of modern smartphones.

Nothing Phone (2a) Specifications and Enhancements

The Phone (2a) Special Edition is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro processor and runs on Nothing OS. It boasts a 5,000 mAh battery, a 6.7-inch flexible AMOLED display, and a dual 50 MP rear camera. The device also retains Nothing's signature design elements, including the Glyph Interface.

Since its initial release, the Phone (2a) has undergone several updates to enhance camera performance and user experience. A notable feature is the industry-first ChatGPT integration when paired with Nothing or CMF by Nothing audio products. Additionally, users can access new ChatGPT widgets from their home screen and explore the Android 15 Developer Preview.

Availability and Pricing

The Phone (2a) Special Edition comes in a 12GB RAM + 256GB storage configuration and is priced at ₹27,999. A limited-time discount of ₹1,000 is available with certain cards. The smartphone will be available in limited quantities from June 5th on Flipkart.
