Rumours abound about the launch of the highly anticipated OnePlus Open, the company's first foldable phone.
Renowned tipster Max Jambor has indicated a new date for the unveiling, with leaked information suggesting that the OnePlus Open will be showcased on October 19, 2023.
This comes after the original launch was postponed due to issues with the BOE display and a subsequent branding switch to Samsung panels.
The OnePlus Open is expected to come equipped with some impressive features. The foldable device is rumoured to boast a 7.8-inch AMOLED 2K display with a 120Hz refresh rate, providing users with a vibrant and smooth visual experience.
Additionally, the outer screen is said to be a 6.3-inch AMOLED panel, also supporting a 120Hz refresh rate.
Under the hood, the OnePlus Open is anticipated to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, coupled with Adreno GPU for enhanced graphics performance.
The device is expected to offer up to 16GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage, ensuring ample space for users to store their files, apps, and multimedia content.
Running on OxygenOS 13.1 with Android 13 out-of-the-box, the OnePlus Open aims to provide a user-friendly and efficient interface.
The device could feature a triple-camera setup on the back, including a 48MP primary sensor, a 48MP secondary shooter, and a 64MP lens. For selfies and video calls, the device may house a 32MP and 20MP front-facing camera.
To keep up with the demands of its users, the OnePlus Open is expected to pack a 4,800mAh battery with 100W fast charging support.
The OnePlus Open is speculated to be priced between ₹1,10,000 and ₹1,20,000 in India.
If these rumours hold true, it signifies a more affordable choice compared to its competitors. For instance, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 is priced at ₹1,54,999.
