Google's latest Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro are set to follow the successful Pixel 8 series launched last October. Despite their release still being some time away, we're already seeing leaks about the Pixel 9 Pro, the upcoming Google flagship.
Thanks to a collaboration between OnLeaks and MSP, we have a sneak peek at what the Pixel 9 Pro might look like. These leaks include renders and a video that showcase the potential design of this new Google flagship.
The Pixel 9 Pro has a 6.5-inch flat display with a small camera hole in it. This screen is slightly smaller than the 6.8-inch screen of the previous model, the Pixel 8 Pro.
The phone has a contemporary look with slim borders around the screen and straight edges, making it look a bit like the iPhone 15, but it's wider.
The layout of the buttons and ports is practical, with power and volume controls on the right side, and the USB-C port, speaker grille, and SIM card tray at the bottom. The phone's rear camera setup has also been redesigned.
The new layout is more compact, making the camera unit less spread out but still maintaining the thickness seen in previous models.
The Pixel 9 Pro is expected to continue Google's tradition of excellent camera quality. Rumours suggest it will have a triple rear camera system, including a wide-angle lens, a telephoto lens, and a periscope lens. Although details are still limited, it's clear that the Pixel camera will see significant upgrades, as is customary with new generations of Pixel phones.
This initial look at the Pixel 9 Pro is intriguing, but there's still much we don't know about the phone's full range of features and capabilities. As the launch date approaches, we expect to learn more about what the next generation of Pixel phones will offer.
