Xiaomi's Redmi is all set to unveil its highly anticipated K70 series on Wednesday, November 29, featuring three new smartphones: the vanilla Redmi K70, the K70 Pro, and the budget-friendly K70E.
Ahead of the launch event, leaked live images have surfaced, providing a closer look at the K70 and K70 Pro, along with additional spec details.
Both the Redmi K70 and K70 Pro will showcase stunning 6.67-inch AMOLED displays with punch-hole cutouts, ensuring immersive visuals.
These smartphones boast glass backs with an elegant frosted pattern.
Notably, their rear camera setups have been revamped, featuring a distinctive large glass camera island housing three lenses, each enclosed within a metal ring. A fourth cutout accommodates the LED flash.
In the camera department, both K70 models pack a powerful 50MP primary camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS).
The K70 Pro goes further, offering a 2x optical zoom lens for impressive portrait shots and an ultrawide lens, enhancing its photography versatility.
In contrast, the standard K70 replaces the 2x zoom lens with a 2MP AI camera.
Examining the software side, the settings menu reveals that both devices will run on Xiaomi HyperOS 1.0.1, based on the latest Android 14.
Furthermore, these smartphones are equipped with a generous 12GB of RAM, ensuring smooth multitasking and efficient performance.
Under the hood, the K70 Pro boasts the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, while the K70 appears to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip.
Besides the K70 and K70 Pro, Xiaomi will introduce the Redmi K70E, which will debut with the newly announced MediaTek Dimensity 8300 chipset, providing a more budget-oriented choice for consumers.
Wednesday's launch event will not solely focus on smartphones; Xiaomi is also set to unveil additional products, including the new Redmi Book 16 2024 Windows laptops, the Redmi Watch 4 wearable, and the Redmi Buds 5 Pro TWS earbuds.
