One of the major highlights of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is its enhanced Neural Processing Unit (NPU). The updated NPU works almost 98% faster. Also, it's 40% more efficient when it comes to AI tasks, highlighting the chip's impressive Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 AI performance.
For those who love taking photos, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 camera performance has seen significant upgrades. Qualcomm has improved its Image Signal Processor (ISP) to work better with Dolby HDR Photo Capture. This means photos will look even better on screens that support HDR.
In terms of gaming, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 gaming performance has some exciting features. The chip now supports 240 frames per second on 240 Hz screens and is compatible with Unreal Engine 5.2. Additionally, the updated Adreno graphics processing unit (GPU) is both 25% faster and more energy-efficient, with an added 40% improvement in Ray Tracing.

Several devices with this chip will be launching soon. Brands like Asus, OnePlus, and Xiaomi have collaborated with Qualcomm to integrate this chip into their devices. The Xiaomi 14 series is expected to be one of the first smartphones to have this chip, with a launch planned for October 26 in China.
