Realme, known for its innovative smartphones, is gearing up to release its latest Realme 12 series. This comes shortly after the launch of the GT 5 Pro. The new series is likely to include two models: the Realme 12 Pro and Realme 12 Pro+.
Recently, both models have appeared on India's BIS certification site, suggesting their launch in India might be just around the corner.
The Realme 12 Pro and Realme 12 Pro+ have been spotted on the BIS certification site. Their respective model numbers are RMX3842 for the Realme 12 Pro and RMX3840 for the Realme 12 Pro+.
In addition to BIS, the Realme 12 Pro+ has also appeared on Indonesia's SDPPI certification site with the same model number. While these certifications don't reveal specific details about the devices, they strongly indicate the series' imminent launch in India.
The upcoming Realme 12 Pro series is rumoured to be powered by the powerful Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset. There's a leak suggesting the Realme 12 Pro will feature a high-quality 32MP Sony IMX709 telephoto sensor, providing 2x optical zoom.
The Realme 12 Pro+, on the other hand, is expected to sport a 64MP OmniVision OV64B periscope telephoto lens, offering an impressive 3x optical zoom.
Design elements for the series include a unique circular camera layout, dual camera sensors, and a distinctive rectangular periscope lens. The expected price for the Realme 12 Pro in China is around RMB 2,099, which equates to approximately Rs 25,000, for the variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.
The Realme 12 series is anticipated to make its debut in the first quarter of 2024, with an initial launch in China, followed by releases in other global markets, including India.
This follows the launch of the Realme 11 Pro and Realme 11 Pro+ in India earlier this year, indicating a period of anticipation before the arrival of these next-generation models. The series is also expected to introduce the Realme 12 and potentially a Realme 12x model.
