Samsung is broadening its reach of AI-powered features by bringing them to older Galaxy smartphone models like the S21 and S22 series. This expansion, detailed in a community post, is expected to begin rolling out in early May. It's important to note that not all AI features will be available for these older devices.
Samsung has announced that several of its older devices, including the Galaxy S22 series, Flip 4, Fold 4, and Tab S8 series, will be updated to include AI features similar to those on the newer S23 FE model.
However, the Instant Slow-mo feature will not be available on these devices and will remain exclusive to newer models.
Additionally, the Galaxy S21 series, along with the older Flip 3 and Fold 3 models, will be updated to include specific AI functionalities such as Circle to Search and Chat Assist.
These updates aim to enhance the user experience by incorporating advanced AI tools across a broader range of Samsung devices.
The integration of these AI features aligns with the release of the One UI 6.1 update. Unveiled at Samsung Unpacked, Galaxy AI encompasses a collection of tools designed to elevate device functionality.
The company's vision is to integrate this technology across its Galaxy lineup, including the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold5, Galaxy Z Flip5, and the Galaxy Tab S9 series.
One UI 6.1 AI updates prioritize making advanced AI tools widely available. Samsung AI powers features like real-time language translation, AI-assisted photo editing, and personalized suggestions to streamline tasks.
With Galaxy AI, Samsung aims to reach over 100 million mobile AI users by 2024. The company believes in the potential of Android AI features and user-friendly tools to enhance communication, productivity, and creative expression.
