Samsung is making waves by reducing the prices of its current top smartphones, the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Plus just before the launch of the new Samsung Galaxy S24 series.
This strategy might attract customers who want a high-quality Android phone without waiting for the newest model.
The Galaxy S23 price drop is quite noticeable. The original pricing for the Galaxy S23 with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage was Rs. 74,999. This price has been reduced to Rs 64,999. The variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, previously priced at Rs. 79,999, is now available for Rs 69,999.
The Galaxy S23 Plus discount is aalso quite attractive. Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus price for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage has been lowered from Rs 94,999 to Rs 84,999. Similarly, the model with 8GB RAM and 512GB storage, which was selling for Rs. 1,04,999, is now priced at Rs 94,999.
Additional discounts of up to Rs 10,000 are available for certain bank cardholders. These new prices are displayed on Samsung’s India website and other major retailers, including Amazon and Flipkart.
The Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Plus come with impressive specifications. They both have an FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Display, with the S23 having a 6.1-inch screen and the S23+ a 6.6-inch screen. They are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and operate on Android 13 with Samsung’s One UI 5.1.
Both phones feature a triple camera setup. This includes a 50-megapixel main camera and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera.
The Galaxy S23 is equipped with a 3,900mAh battery that supports 25W wired charging. The Galaxy S23 Plus has a larger 4,700mAh battery, compatible with 45W wired charging.
These price cuts by Samsung not only reflect the company's strategy in the competitive smartphone market but also offer consumers in India the opportunity to purchase high-quality technology at more affordable prices.
