Xiaomi has launched its flagship Xiaomi 12 series of smartphones globally. The series comprises the Xiaomi 12 Pro, Xiaomi 12, and Xiaomi 12X smartphones. The phones were launched in China in December last year.
In the US, the Xiaomi 12 Pro has been priced starting at $999 for 8GB + 256GB, while the Xiaomi 12 starts at $749 for 8GB + 128GB. The Xiaomi 12X, meanwhile, starts at $649 for 8GB + 128GB.
Xiaomi has not announced any plans for an India launch date, or India-specific pricing information, so far.
The Xiaomi 12 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, paired with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage.
It features a 6.73-inch QHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz variable refresh rate with LTPO technology. The display has a peak brightness of 1500 nits, Gorilla Glass Victus protection, and a touch sampling rate of 480Hz. The phone also a four-speaker sound system, tuned by Harman Kardon.
At the back, the Xiaomi 12 Pro features a triple rear camera setup, with a 50MP Sony IMX707 sensor for the main camera, along with a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP portrait camera. For selfies, there’s a 32MP camera on the front.
Xiaomi has packed in a 4,600mAh battery that supports a blazing fast 120W fast wired charging, along with 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging.

The Xiaomi 12 is powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset from Qualcomm, along with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. It features a 6.28-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection, a 120Hz refresh rate, and Dolby Vision support. The screen has a peak brightness of 1100 nits.
For optics, the Xiaomi 12 features a triple rear camera setup, with a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor for the main camera, along with a 13MP ultra-wide camera, and a 5MP macro camera. Xiaomi says that the rear camera setup features CyberFocus technology for quick auto-focus locking. On the front is a 32MP selfie camera.
Keeping the lights on is a 4,500mAh battery with 67W wired and 50W wireless fast charging support, along with 10W reverse wireless charging support.
The Xiaomi 12X carries much of the same specs as the Xiaomi 12, including the 6.28-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, the 4,500mAh battery, and an identical 50MP triple rear camera setup.
The difference lies under the hood: the smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 870 chipset, paired with up to 12GB RAM, and up to 256GB storage.
