Owners of Google's Pixel 7 and 7 Pro smartphones have reported instances of the camera glass inside the horizontal camera strip shattering for no apparent reason.
Some users on Twitter and Reddit have reported that this occurred even while using a protective case, and the issue seems to be more common among regular Pixel 7 users. Unfortunately, this type of physical damage is not covered under the device's warranty, and fixing it requires the replacement of the entire back panel, which can be costly (up to around ₹16,000).
It may be advisable for Pixel 7 and 7 Pro users to be extra cautious with their devices and consider using a protective case to help prevent any potential damage to the camera.
