In India, Europe, and North America, OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro devices are currently receiving an Android 13-based OxygenOS 13 update. The stable version is being rolled out to people who participated in the Open Beta version, and it will be gradually distributed to regular smartphone users.

According to the official changelog on the OnePlus Community forum, the OnePlus 9 in India will receive the LE2111 11.F.16 upgrade, while the 9 Pro will receive LE221 11.F.16.

As part of the Android 13 upgrade, both phones receive a revamped user interface and new animations. OnePlus is adding a Shadow-Reflective Clock and an Aquamorphic design in terms of aesthetics. According to the changelog, Android 13-based ColorOS 13 optimises UI layers for a more streamlined visual experience. Some fonts are becoming bolder for improved legibility.

Additionally, OnePlus is optimising bitmoji to provide additional always-on display animations. With regard to privacy, the phone will automatically pixelate sensitive conversation messages. The similar feature is present on ColorOS 13, which is based on Android 13. The update also includes a regular clipboard data deletion for privacy protection.

OnePlus states that disgruntled consumers can revert to the Android 12 version. The rollback kit is accessible on the OnePlus Community forum, and users must ensure they have a backup of their media files as the process deletes them.
