OpenAI has announced the launch of a pilot subscription plan for ChatGPT, its AI chatbot, at a cost of $20 per month and will be named ChatGPT Plus. Subscribers will have access to ChatGPT during peak times, faster responses, and priority access to new features and improvements. This subscription is being initially rolled out only for users in the US.
In addition, OpenAI has released a software tool called AI Classifier, which can recognize text generated by AI. ChatGPT, since its launch in November, has become popular but also raised concerns about plagiarism. The language model, trained on a dataset of human-written and AI-written text, is aimed at differentiating between human-written and AI-generated text. The company stated that its goal is to address issues such as misinformation and academic dishonesty.
