Renowned for its technological advancements, Oppo seems set to introduce the next-gen foldable Find N3 and Find N3 Flip soon. However, the spotlight might not be solely on these gadgets. Oppo Watch 4 Pro, the brand's latest smartwatch offering, could also debut.
The official launch date remains a mystery, yet the company has started dropping hints through its teasers, unveiling some notable features of the impending device.
Oppo's Weibo handle recently gave a sneak peek into what's in store. The company's first teaser highlighted the dual chipsets under the hood of the new smartwatch.
It will harness the power of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 processor and be supplemented by the BES 2700 co-processor. Interestingly, this dual-chip strategy was also witnessed in the Oppo Watch 3 series last year.
Boosting its performance further, the Oppo Watch 4 Pro will boast 2GB of RAM, doubling what its predecessors offered. Coupled with a staggering 4.2GB/s transfer rate, users can expect a snappier response, particularly when toggling between apps during activities, such as shifting from music to workout modules at the gym.
Not falling behind in the display department, the smartwatch will feature a top-notch LTPO AMOLED panel. The specifics regarding the display size are still a secret, yet it will support full-colour Always On Display (AOD).
Users can effortlessly glance at vital details like time, temperature, and heartbeat without activating the entire screen.
In terms of health tracking, Oppo has gone the extra mile. Their next watch will incorporate an array of sophisticated sensors: an 8-channel heart-rate sensor, 16-channel blood oxygen (SpO2) sensor, a wrist temperature sensor, and an ECG sensor.
Further sweetening the deal, Oppo will integrate over 85 ready-to-use independent applications into the watch, eliminating the constant need for smartphone tethering.
And with a promising 5-day battery life in full smart mode (which extends to 14 days in light smart mode usage), the smartwatch ensures users stay connected longer.
While these specifications certainly excite, other details regarding the design, pricing, and official launch of the Oppo Watch 4 Pro remain under wraps.
However, industry insiders speculate that the smartwatch might be introduced alongside Oppo's new foldable phones in China. If the grapevine is to be believed, August 29 might be the anticipated launch date for these innovations.
