Reports suggest that WhatsApp’s latest beta version for iOS lets some testers share up to 100 media files at once. The app earlier allowed users to share up to 30 media files at a time in a chat.
WhatsApp is planning to release this new feature to more users soon. Some users may gain this ability after updating to the iOS app version 23.3.0.74.
The app is also working on a feature that would allow users to send photos in their original quality on the desktop version.
The Meta-owned platform was previously rumoured to be working on the same capabilities for its iOS and Android apps.
Currently, WhatsApp compresses images sent in chats to save space and bandwidth. Images lose quality and detail when delivered via WhatsApp.
