YouTube has announced that it will begin sharing ad revenue with Shorts creators starting February 1st. In preparation for this change, YouTube has begun rolling out new terms for all creators in the YouTube Partner Program. Creators must accept these new terms by July 10th in order to remain in the program.

The new revenue-sharing model will allow creators to earn money from ads viewed between videos in the Shorts Feed. In order, to be eligible for the new monetization policy, creators must meet a new Shorts-specific threshold of 1,000 subscribers and 10 million Shorts views over 90 days.

Creators need to accept the Shorts monetization Module to start earning from Short videos. YouTube recommends that creators accept all modules to unlock their full earning potential on the platform.
