You would easily mistake 'The Wave' rock formation in Arizona for a stunning landscape portrait. Made of sandstone, you really have to be among the lucky few to get a permit to hike to the formation. Only 20 hikers a day are granted the permit and thousands apply to visit. The formation consists of two major troughs formed by water and wind erosion. The surreal natural formation is also the most photographed in the United States.
