Tiger Woods announced on Monday that he will 'never' play full-time golf again following his car accident in February that left the 15-time major winner with traumatic injuries.

One of the greatest golfers of all time, Woods suffered serious fractures to his lower right leg in addition to damaging his ankle and foot. The 45-year-old hasn't given up hope of returning to the PGA Tour though and said he would 'pick and choose' a few events a year.

The former world number one lost control of his car and flipped it several times in the accident in California. Woods was wearing a seatbelt and the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department said at the time he was "fortunate to be alive."
