As the Japanese government prepares to host the Tokyo Olympics, Games chief Seiko Hashimoto has confirmed that the games might be held behind closed doors. With the rising number of cases in Japan, the local administration has put an emergency in Tokyo and its suburbs. The former Olympian who is now heading the local organising committee for the games said that in order to protect the interest and safety of the athletes and locals in Tokyo, there might be a situation where fans won't be allowed in stadiums. The Tokyo Games were scheduled for 2020 and will now take place from 23rd July to 8th August 2021 due to the global pandemic.
