After a Silver in Rio, PV Sindhu may have been hunting for a Gold at the Tokyo Olympics but made history by clinching a Bronze medal. India's ace shuttler comfortably beat Bing Jiao of China in straight games 21-13, 21-15 in 53 minutes, and is now the most decorated female Olympian in India's history.
Sindhu made full use of her long reach and capitalised on long rallies more often than not, as her Chinese opponent had no answer to her powerful smashes.
Sindhu is now not only the 2nd Indian to win 2 individual Olympic medals, but she is just the 4th woman ever to win a medal in 2 consecutive Olympic Games.
