India's Aditi Ashok has kept hopes of a historic Olympic medal in golf high as she held on to the second position after carding a three-under 67 in the third round.

She is now three strokes adrift of leader Nelly Korda of USA who carded a two-under 69 in the penultimate round. Moreover, a tropical storm is approaching Tokyo over the weekend. If weather plays spoil sport on Saturday, the standings will remain same and Aditi will make history by clinching India's maiden medal in golf.
