After winning a billion Indian hearts at Tokyo on Friday, Javelin champion Neeraj Chopra said the feeling that he has won an Olympic gold was still to sink in and on Saturday, he slept with his gold medal next to his pillow.
In an interview with India Today, the 23-year-old athlete said, as he took the top step of the podium at the Tokyo Olympics on Saturday, the fact that he managed to do something for his country which will be remembered, felt like a big weight off his chest.

Neeraj said he got goosebumps as the journey to Tokyo flashed through his mind when he stood for the Indian national anthem at the Olympic Stadium. Neeraj Chopra became the 2nd individual gold medalist in India's Olympic history when he won the Men's Javelin event at the Tokyo Games on Saturday.
