Vinod Kumar's bronze medal that he won in the F52 category of the Discus Throw at the Paralympics on Sunday now stands cancelled, decided the Tokyo Paralympics Technical delegates on Monday.
The delegates said that Kumar's 'classification was not completed' and hence the result stands invalid. The 41-year-old para-athlete was found ineligible in disability classification assessment by the competition panel. While he won bronze with an Asian record throw of 19.91mts on Sunday, the result was challenged by some competitors.
