MAHARASHTRA GOVERNMENT SCRAPS PLAN FOR SLUM REHABILITATION SCHEME IN AAREY COLONY
Slum Rehabilitation Authority chief Satish Lokhande in a notification issued on Wednesday said that the Bombay High Court in a 2012 PIL has passed an order in 2016 stating that given the National Green Tribunal and interim orders passed by the court the slum rehabilitation scheme cannot be implemented in the Aarey Colony Area. Therefore, the notification issued earlier has been cancelled.
