Amid a record spike in coronavirus cases, the Delhi government has announced a total curfew in the national capital starting from tonight till Monday morning. The decision was taken when Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal met with Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal on Monday morning. The Capital was under a weekend curfew from Friday night till Monday morning as Covid cases have broken all records. Kejriwal said that a lockdown is needed to avert a major health tragedy in the Capital. A record rise in coronavirus cases has severely strained the city's resources and health infrastructure. All private offices will have to work from home during the curfew. Only govt offices and those involved in essential services will be allowed to function.
