'Touchdown Tokyo': India's Olympic contingent arrives in Japan after a resounding send-off

A batch of India's Olympic contingent received a rapturous send-off on Saturday as they headed to Tokyo for the 2020 Summer Games. 

Paddler Manika Batra who was part of the 88-member contingent tweeted a video from the airport and expressed her gratitude. 

India's archery, badminton, table tennis, hockey, judo, gymnastics, swimming and weightlifting were also part of the group that took off for Tokyo amid resounding applause and cheers.

The contingent reached the Japanese capital on Sunday.
