Indians are no strangers to the healing benefits of honey! Now, a company in Turkey has broken the world record for the 'most expensive honey'.
Guinness World Records stated that the 'Centauri Honey' has a bitter taste and medicinal properties. It is excavated from a cave, 2500 metres above sea level, and costs a whopping £8,700/kg or over ₹8.8 lakh/kg.
The honey, which is darker in colour, is harvested just once a year. It is produced from medicinal herbs planted near the cave, which the bees feed on.
