Chelsea's name was engraved on European football's most prestigious cup for the 2nd time ever, as they were crowned the kings of Europe once again on Saturday night. The Blues edged past Manchester City 1-0 in the final and only one manager has ever beaten City's Pep Guardiola in a cup final, that is Thomas Tuchel. He lost the final last season with PSG.
In a rather slow game which many felt that failed to be a fitting finale, Kai Havertz proved too be the lone goal scorer. His 42nd minute strike proved to be the winner, leaving City still searching for the Champions League, the trophy that has always eluded them.
As European club football's biggest prize came back to Stamford Bridge for the first time since 2012, Chelsea became only the third English side to win the Champions League on two occasions, after Manchester United and Liverpool.
