Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray on Sunday launched a scathing attack on governor Bhagat Singh Koshiyari with whom he has had an acrimonious exchange over the issue of opening temples in the state. Pointing out at the availability of beef in Goa, Thackeray asked the governor "is this your Hindutva? You ban beef in Maharashtra, but you are okay with it in Goa." Critics have often accused the BJP of double standards on the issue of beef ban citing Goa. The chief minister Vs governor war of words started when Koshiyari taunted him for not opening temples and asked him he had turned secular. Uddhav had hit back saying he did not need a certificate of Hindutva from the governor.
