Real Madrid finished top of Champions League Group D after beating Inter 2-0 on Wednesday. Tonny Kross and Marco Asensio scored for Madrid as Inter were no match against the Spanish club.
Meanwhile, RB Leipzig humbled already-qualified Manchester City 2-1, snapping Pep Guardiola's side 14-game unbeaten streak. Leipzig finished at the third spot in Group A after Paris St Germain outclassed Club Brugge 4-1.
PSG who were already qualified for the knock-out stages came all guns blazing as Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi scored two goals each. Messi's brilliance helped his team and the scoreline read 3-0 in the 37th minute after Mbappe's brace upfront. Messi converted the penalty spot in the 76th minute to stretch PSG's lead to 4-1, thrashing Brugge's hope of finishing third in Group A.
In the Group B match, Liverpool became the first English club in Champions League history to win all of their group games. Liverpool thrashed AC Milan 2-1 in their last group match as Divock Origi and Mohamad Salah scored.
