UK health minister Sajid Javid on Saturday informed that he has tested positive for Covid-19, but added that his symptoms were mild and he was thankful to have had two doses of vaccine against the disease.
While tweeting the information, he also urged people who haven't taken their jabs to get vaccinated.
Javid, who has been health secretary for three weeks, has backed Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s plan to fully reopen England’s economy and scrap legal coronavirus restrictions from Monday.

On Friday, the UK recorded 36,800 cases, which marked a 17 per cent increase over the previous week.
