United Nations Day 2021: Observed on 24th October each year, United Nations Day commemorates the day in 1945 when the United Nations Charter came into effect. Representatives from 50 countries convened in San Francisco to draw the United Nations Charter at the United Nations Conference on International Organization.
Since its establishment, the charter has been amended three times in 1963, 1965, and 1973. The day works towards restating and amplifying the UN Charter's goals and ideologies.
The UN charter holds within itself a very unique international character and powers due to which they can take action on a wide variety of issues. As a result, the UN Charter is an instrument of international law, and all UN Member States are obligated to follow it.
As the world slowly works towards recovering from the Covid-19 pandemic, United Nations Day 2021 is rallying a cry for international collaboration for peace and prosperity for all.
