In an unprecedented move, 16 Opposition parties have announced that they will boycott President Ram Nath Kovind's address to Parliament at the start of the Budget Session on Friday. The decision was taken at a virtual strategy meet of the Opposition leaders on Thursday. Announcing the decision of the Opposition, Congress leader in Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad said that the opposition's move is in protest against the new farm laws. He accused the govt of passing the controversial bill forcibly in the House without consultation.
