Yogi Adityanath has banned Chinese companies from filing tenders for Uttar Pradesh govt projects amid a continuing standoff between India and China. The state govt has issued orders to all its departments in this regard. According to reports the order also mentions a few other countries apart from China which won't be allowed to bid for govt projects in UP. The state govt is likely to form a committee or an authoritative body to maintain a registry of companies. Bidders and companies that want to register themselves will have to get clearance from the union defence, home and foreign ministries.
