Reports have indicated that the US Department of Homeland Security has raised concerns over the Zoom video conferencing platform being vulnerable to foreign surveillance. According to reports, the federal agency has hinted at surveillance concerns due to development work on Zoom being done in China. An ABC report claims the US DHS says "China's access to Zoom's servers makes Beijing uniquely position to target US public and private sector users". A spokesperson for the video conferencing platform has reportedly said the allegations and analysis are inaccurate and heavily misinformed.
