US President Donald Trump and first lady have tested positive for coronavirus, as announced by the President on Twitter. Trump and Melania Trump went into quarantine after one of his closest aides tested positive for coronavirus.
In a tweet, Trump said, he will begin his quarantine and recovery process along with his wife immediately and will get through it together.
31-year-old Hope Hicks, an adviser to the president tested positive on Thursday following which the president was tested. She travelled with him on Air Force One to a TV debate in Ohio earlier this week.
It is not clear how the president's quarantine will affect the second presidential debate, which is scheduled for 15th October in Miami, Florida.
