Amid an alarming spike in Covid cases in the country and the need for inoculation rising, most states have warned that they will soon run out of coronavirus vaccine doses.

At least 26 of the 120 vaccination centres in Mumbai have already run out of Covid-19 vaccine doses. Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope said he is now waiting for more vaccine shots to be sent.

He added if more doses are not supplied at the earliest, all vaccination centres in Mumbai will soon run out of Covid-19 vaccine supply.

Jharkhand Health Minister Banna Gupta said the state will run out of vaccine doses in the next 1-2 days. The Odisha health minister too has expressed similar concerns.

He said the state is left with 5.34 lakh doses which will be exhausted in 2 days and that the state has written to the Centre to send a minimum of 25-lakh vaccines for 10 days.
