A Vincent Van Gogh artwork from 1887 fetched 13.1 million euros at a Sotheby's Paris auction on Thursday. It surpassed the estimated price, between 5 million and 8 million euros. 'Street Scene in Montmarte' was one of the few paintings by the Dutch Impressionist master that was still in private hands. The work was out of public eye, and with the same family collection for over 100 years, Sotheby's said. The masterpiece was painted during the Dutch artist's 2 year period when he shared an apartment with his brother in Paris.
