Organising a big fat Bollywood wedding is no mean feat. But providing security for Bollywood A-listers and their VVIP guests is a whole different ball game. And district authorities in Rajasthan's Sawai Madhopur may have just woken up to a nightmare.
District administration officials held a meeting to review the preparations ahead of the much-awaited wedding of Bollywood stars Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif.
Bollywood has been abuzz with reports about the private engagement and a private but lavish marriage ceremony in Rajasthan. Wedding organisers were also part of the meeting.
Insider sources confirm a Mumbai-based wedding planning company is in charge of all the wedding functions from mehendi, to sangeet to the reception. The company has managed celebrity weddings earlier as well, including the likes of a Bollywood actor and a US singer, and also a cricketer and a Bollywood actress. Sources also say about 80-90 bouncers will be present at the venue, in charge of security at the resort.
Reports say that Vicky and Katrina will be landing in Rajasthan on December 6, so the meeting was to coordinate smooth functioning of traffic during the 4-day wedding festivities. Authorities have been given directions that all guests should have got both the doses of vaccination. RT-PCR test is compulsory for those who have not taken vaccine doses.
Vicky and Katrina are still tight-lipped about the wedding, although authorities are preparing for over 120 guests, at the Six Senses Fort Barwara in Sawai Madhopur. Functions start from December 7 with the couple's sangeet, mehendi and wedding will reportedly take place on December 8 and 9.
