Viral: Uttarakhand minister's photo shows mask hanging off his toe

At a time when experts are urging strict precautions amid warnings of the third wave of Covid, a Uttarakhand minister has been caught sitting in a meeting with a mask hanging off his toe!

The photo of Swami Yatishwaranand, minister of state in Uttarakhand’s BJP government, went viral on social media, where his face mask was seen hanging on the thumb of his foot.

Two other state ministers, Bishan Singh Chuphal and Subodh Uniyal who were also at the meeting are also maskless.

Netizens raged at the minister on Twitter. They said the callousness of the minister was to blame for Covid deaths, others asked how can authorities expect people to follow Covid norms when ministers themselves don't.
