Wait for 6 months to see results: Yediyurappa to protesting farmers

Amid the ongoing agitation in Karnataka, Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa on Monday said that he had tried to speak to the leaders of various farmers' organisations but in vain.
He said being a farmer's son he is on the side of farmers. Stating that the amendments to the land and Agricultural laws have been have been brought after long discussions," the CM urged the farmers to wait for six months or a year. He said his government has not closed door on Agricultural Produce Marketing Committee Act and farmers can sell their produce where ever they want to. He claimed in six months or a year the farmers will realise how the amendments will help them.
