Watch: Boats out in Bengaluru as flash floods turn roads into river

Several parts of Bengaluru experienced heavy flooding due to incessant rains which led to the overflowing of the Allalasandra lake on Sunday night.

In many places, roads were left heavily waterlogged and flash floods turned roads into river.

Boats were deployed in some areas to ferry people.

The Elhanka, Nagawara, Kogilu Cross and Vidyaranyapura spaces of Bengaluru have been specifically suffering from the rain.

In Elhanka, 134 mm of rain fell within the remaining 24 hours on my own, contributing to the world’s heavy waterlogging.

Meanwhile, for Monday and Tuesday, the India Meteorological Department has predicted widespread light to moderate rainfall over South interior Karnataka, including Bengaluru, Chikkamagaluru, Hassan, Kodagu and Mysuru.
